The last decade has seen far reaching economic changes that have transformed the emerging market economies (EMEs) of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS), Southeast Asia, Latin Americas, and Eastern Europe, into growth engines of today’s business world. These economies are moving beyond their traditional economic roles and are competing and vying for their place in the global economic system vis-à-vis developed largely Western economies. Their unprecedented growth has brought forth several new paradigms which are fundamentally different from leading Western markets and economies and the development paths followed by them. Such fundamental structural differences warrant special attention and offer a fertile ground for academic research that contributes to our understanding of growth and business development and management behaviors. The Jindal Journal of Business Research (JJBR) aims at developing a better understanding of the transforming global business scenarios and management practices by creating a common forum for academicians, scholars, and practitioners from across the world.
