The Arab Society of Faculties of Business, Economic and Political Sciences (BEPS) and The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik - USEK are pleased to host an International Colloquium "Crisis, Globalization and Governance: how to draw lessons?" on April 2 and 3, 2012 in Lebanon.
Actors and decision-makers deplore the actual drift of the globalization process illustrated by the world financial crisis. Attention is therefore drawn to the absence of governance or inadequate governance of globalization. In this perspective, the conference aims to tackle a potential and desirable way of reinventing or implementing specific types of governance (both at the private and public levels), in order to reorient the globalization process in a safer and much more efficient way.
The main problems will be raised in the Economic, Business, Administrative, and Political Sciences fields, while respectively tackling the following: the supranational regulation of globalized finance, the new enterprise governance, and the restoration of social democracy facing interest groups.
