Study Map Opened at ISM
The study map was opened at ISM University of Management and Economics in Vilnius and Kaunas. The University wanted to pay tribute to the business companies and natural persons who contributed to the social programme ISM Excellent 100 and allocated funds for the best new student scholarships. Up till now 10 companies operating in the country have contributed to 19 scholarships, whereas the Study Map will be supplemented on a continuous basis.
“Business can be generous to science but what is important is that both sides saw clearly the benefit of their cooperation and had a clear vision, the President of ISM University of Management and Economics Dr. Nerijus Pačėsa said. We are extremely grateful to those companies and persons who joined our social programme. I believe that these scholarships to the best students have become an incentive for them to stay and study in the country”.
According to the ISM President, the role of partners does not end with the establishment of scholarships. They take an active part in the study process by proposing the tasks for the study projects, annual papers, by taking the students for temporary work in their companies and giving open lectures.
ISM Excellent 100 social programme was joined by air company airBaltic, companies Arginta, Arvi, Aviva Lietuva, Danske bankas, Ericsson Lietuva, AB Grigiškės, Nestle Baltics, Lindorff, the funding was allocated by one of the University alumnus. Some companies contribute to the study map when the studies at the university begin. Part of the funding in the programme is to be allocated by the University itself.
487 students will start their studies at the ISM university this year, more than a half of them are covered by the “study vouchers”, whereas 75 students will study free of charge. The students that are covered by “study vouchers” will study in the ISM international MA programmes, whereas 20 of them will study free of charge.
