USB awarded a top global ranking for fourth consecutive year

The University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) has - for the fourth year in a row - received the prestigious A-rating from EDUNIVERSAL at the Paris-based ratings organisation's 4th World Convention, held in China recently.

In addition, the USB received the EDUNIVERSAL Five Palms Award, the highest honour to a business school, and is one of only three African education institutions recognised. The award indicates the level of an academic institution's international reputation and is recognised on the basis of research carried out by the International Scientific Committee, which compiles the list of criteria, together with the assessments made by deans from the universities and schools on the list of 1 000 business schools globally.

Professor John Powell, director of the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB), who personally accepted the award in China, says the USB is proud to have been recognised by EDUNIVERSAL as one of its 1 000 Best Business Schools worldwide.

"As a top African business school, we are honoured to again be recognised by EDUNIVERSAL, which is an influential global ranking that offers a truly universal perspective on higher education. The conference has been an extraordinary opportunity for global business leaders to interact and learn from one another, as well as receive exposure to the latest innovative and creative trends in business education.

"It is also great to find that the business community at large respects so visibly the strong intellectual and academic standing of our degrees as well as our students. Our philosophy of learning how to think well, to be constructively critical and to have an enquiring mind are key assets in the modern international business arena," says Powell.
