Professor Arno Almann appointed Acting Rector at EBS

From January 2nd Professor Arno Almann is appointed Acting Rector of Estonian Business School. Professor Almann will be carrying out the duties of EBS Rector until the inauguration of the new Rector, the latter post to be filled by public competition.

Professor Almann graduated from Tartu University Faculty of Law in 1974. He defended his Doctoral Thesis in Tallinn Technical University in 1999. Almann has worked in different leading positions in both public and private sectors, research organisations and as a European Union and World Bank expert in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Central Asia. He has contributed to the development of numerous laws that have ensured the regaining of Estonian independence and the development of the Estonian justice system.

Having worked in EBS since 1997, Professor Almann became a full professor in 2001 and the Head of the Department of Law and Public Administration. He lectures on subjects such as Encyclopedia of Law, Public Administration and Management of Public Organisations and their Legal Framework.
