8th IMTA Alumni Conference, RANEPA, Moscow, 23-25 May

The eighth annual conference of IMTA Alumni Association, a global network of 448 management faculty from 135 institutions in 37 countries will take place on 23-25 May at RANEPA (Russian Academy of National Economy under the President of the Russian President).

The eighth annual conference of IMTA Alumni Association, a global network of 448 management faculty from 135 institutions in 37 countries will take place on 23-25 May at RANEPA (Russian Academy of National Economy under the President of the Russian President).

The conference will include the following interrelated events:

  • IMTA Alumni Conference
  • International Teaching Week
  • IMTA Alumni Meeting

The theme of the IMTA Alumni Conference is “Leadership and Change Management in Business School Settings: The Role of Faculty Development and Accreditation” and will include the following:

  • Leading change in management schools
  • Accreditation process as a change management tool
  • Faculty development and IMTA alumni involvement in different institutional context and business school models

To inspire a discussion in which IMTA Alumni will have an opportunity to present and discuss their specific personal and institutional challenges, approaches and experiences related to the above-mentioned topics (e.g. full time vs. part time faculty), the conference will receive invited contributions from.

  • JB Kassarjian, IMTA faculty member, Professor of Leadership at Babson College, USA, Professor Emeritus, IMD-Lausanne, Switzerland, who was also heavily involved in institutional building of Harvard Business School-supported management development institutions in Iran, the Philippines and Lebanon
  • Jim Ellert, IMTA Academic Director and CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation – IQA Director, Prof. Emeritus and former Dean of Faculty IMD-Lausanne, Switzerland and Visiting Professor IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia
  • Milenko Gudic, IMTA Managing Director, CEEMAN, Slovenia

During the International Teaching Week IMTA alumni will have the opportunity to give lecture to students and participants in the various programs at RANEPA and its member schools

IMTA Alumni Meeting will enable conference participants to discuss future activities of the IMTA Alumni association4.

Attractive social and cultural events will enable the participants to learn more about the fascinating history and culture of Moscow and Russia.

The 8th MTA Alumni Conference will also be open to management faculty from the host institution, as well as business schools from Russia and other countries that may have an interest in institutional leadership and change, international accreditation, faculty development trends in general and the specific IMTA experience in particular.
