Academic staff gains new insights into Technology application in the study process

The Academic staff of the BA School of Business and Finance in collaboration with Rīga Stradiņš University starts the new academic year 2021/2022 with professional development training and sharing experience during the training activities “The Development of Technologies and their use in the Study process and Business environment” from August 26- 30,2021.


During three diverse and inspiring training days the academic staff gained the experience in digital transformation and the  insight into the latest technology developments, such as the Internet of Things, drones, smart cars, 3D smart fabric, FinTech future business trends, artificial intelligence development, virtual assistants in education and medicine, option of using cloud services, robotics, simulation, virtual reality, futuristic and the use of technology in the study process, including start-ups launch as an integrated educational opportunity in higher education.

The Rector or BA School of Business and Finance Dr. Līga Peiseniece: 
“The Academic staff gained insights into the latest scientific achievements regarding technology and got inspiration from those who create and develop innovative types of new business models.  Knowledge transfer for future opportunities perspective is important for our students that will facilitate their creativity and cognitive learning. The practical examples of young entrepreneurs demonstrated the inter-disciplinarity in the study process and the need for new skills for future jobs in a changing business environment that higher education institution has to take into account.”
 
Professional development training for academics “The Development of Technologies and their use in Study process and Business environment” was co-funded by the ESF Project No. 8.2.2.0/18/A/007 “Support for strengthening the capacity of academic staff in BA School of Business and Finance”.
