Due to MIM-Kyiv’s technologies, more than a hundred people participated in the discussion. Cabinet of Ministers members, People’s Deputies (MPs), business people, and experts participated in the event. Energy efficiency standards, emissions, food safety, and other issues critical for the implementation of the European Green Deal were the focal points of discussion.
Mr. Oleksandr Dmobrovsky, the chairman of the Global 100% RE Ukraine, the NGO stressed out that the Ukrainian business opportunities in the European market, critical for Ukraine much depends on harmonization of the Ukrainian legislation with the requirements of the Green Deal.
“I am delighted that MIM-Kyiv, the best Ukrainian business school hosts our events. Not MIM-Kyiv offers the highest quality education but promotes social responsibility as well,” Mr. Dombrovsky said.

Mr. Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) announced the Ministry’s support to agriculture and business in the adoption of the European Green Deal. “We need to join our efforts to accomplish the transformation. We are ready to promote anything that makes this transformation smoother and reinforces Ukrainian positions as one of the global food safety pillars,” he explained.
Mr. Roman Leshchenko, Minister of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine, mentioned that Ukraine mostly outpaces Europeans in adherence to green agriculture. However, there is a risk of CO2 emissions caused by the growth of Ukrainian agriculture. “Ukrainian agrarians are considerably thriftier than their European peers when it comes to fertilizers or antibiotics use. We need to keep these trends going,” Mr. Leshchenko said.
Prof. Iryna Tykhomyrova strongly believes that such events are the best instrument of discussions and better understanding between the national and local authorities, business, and society. The establishment of such a platform and communication hub at MIM-Kyiv is aligned with the school’s mission.
“This roundtable is yet another event that is part of the European Green Deal in Ukraine activities. We are sure that it is an important initiative. Is business ready for the changes? Definitely not yet, because not all understand that the rules are changing forever. How business and our state can prepare for the changes is the question worth answering together. We can facilitate the development of the answers as helping businesses to succeed is our priority,” Prof. Tykhomyrova told the participants.
