The UFuture Talents 2019 is a joint effort of MIM-Kyiv and the UFuture Group, private equity firm and a group of companies founded by Vasyl Khmelnytsky. The program mission is to identify and develop the best managerial talent in Ukraine.
“I spent more time with the UFuture Group students than with some of my companies,” Mr. Khmelnytsky jokes. “I strongly believe that investment in human capital and the strong team makes or breaks businesses. It is our first joint program with MIM and the first national program of such a scale. We blended management theories and living cases from the UFuture Group businesses. It proved to be the right decision. We will have the one more UFuture Talents program.”
“We expected this class to be more hard-working, and process the new information quicker because it is our way of doing things. We work long and productive hours. That’s why we want our newcomers to be more energetic and enthusiastic about what they do,” Olena Dobrorodneva, UFuture Talents program director explains.
For MIM-Kyiv this program is innovative as well. Oleksiy Vynogradov, MIM-Kyiv’s Vice President says that this program proves that business schools could assist in the development of current managers and managers-to-be as well. It is a good alternative to the classical head hunting. During the program, the company could comprehensively assess the candidates.
“We evaluated program participants’ analytical skills, team-playing potential, leadership abilities, discipline, etc. We created the profiles of each student. Such approach secured a high rate of conversion from candidates to employees because the best program graduates were offered jobs in the UFuture Talents. To best of my knowledge half of the class is going to receive job offers. For us it is more than evidence of program value but also a proof of MIM-Kyiv’s ability to offer more than educational partnerships,” Oleksiy Vynogradov says.
Yurii Pyvovarov, Chairman of the Kyiv International Economic Forum Organizing Committee and one of the program professors stresses, “To improve the capitalization of one company you need to develop your business, and overall business environment as well. If you do so, all businesses will thrive.”
