The authors of the Index associate this phenomenon with an increase in the number of bankruptcies in Russia and the emergence of a large number of disputed assets, which become the object of claims of competing companies. The increase in business activity in the country was also influenced by the weakening of sanitary restrictions on Covid-19. These factors led to an increase in conflicts in the business environment.
