China Needs its own Model of Management Education

On November 6 the Global Times published an interesting article based on a recent interview in Beijing with CEEMAN president, Prof. Dr. Danica Purg, "Rather than maintaining adoration for the American style of business management education, China should explore its own model of nurturing management talents in a way that matches the economy's transition toward quality and innovation-driven growth".

The interview shares prof. Purg’s thoughts on the current state of management development as opposed to the realities of the business world, globally and particularly in People’s Republic of China. What path should Chinese management education institutions choose and why should they incorporate the notion of quality, business ethics and responsible management among their core elements.
