The 12th Responsible Management Education Research Conference (RMERC): Rethinking Growth and Exploring New Possibilities for a Regenerative World

The 12th Responsible Management Education Research Conference, co-organized by the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON) and the PRME Anti-Poverty Working Group, took place in Belgrade on 21–23 October 2025, exploring “Rethinking Growth and New Possibilities for a Regenerative World.”

The 12th Responsible Management Education Research Conference, co-organized by the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON), University of Belgrade, and the PRME Anti-Poverty Working Group, was held in Belgrade from 21–23 October 2025 under the powerful theme “Rethinking Growth and Exploring New Possibilities for a Regenerative World.”

The conference gathered more than 200 management educators and practitioners from 38 countries, with 127 approved submissions across 24 thematic tracks exploring regenerative approaches in management, education, finance, entrepreneurship, technology, and leadership.

Three plenary blocks offered exceptional insights from world-renowned experts: Gemma Bridgman (Forum for the Future), Prof. Gordana Vunjak-Novaković (Columbia University), Prof. Ichak Adizes (Adizes Institute), Prof. Raul Villamarin Rodriguez (Woxsen University), and Pavel Luksha (Global Education Futures).

The programme also featured plenary panels on „Partnerships for a Regenerative Society“ and „PRME Working Groups and Chapters Collaboration“, highlighting systemic solutions and global engagement in responsible management education.

Pre-conference side events energized participants through the PRME Champions Meeting, i5 Workshop on Innovative Pedagogy for SDGs, oikos International Workshop, PRME Chapter CEE  and interactive simulation sessions such as „Post-Apocalyptic Simulation“ and „Predator Games“.

Social events showcased Belgrade’s culture and hospitality through choir performances, sightseeing tours, a gala dinner in Skadarlija, and the unique „Management through the Lens of Rakia Tasting“ experience.

At the closing ceremony, FON passed the RMERC baton to Leuphana University, Germany, host of RMERC 2026. Distinguished lifetime achievement awards were presented to Milenko Gudić and Al Rosenbloom for their outstanding contributions to responsible management education and poverty alleviation.

The conference concluded with a Global Visioning Roundtable co-organized with MIT World Peace University, Goa, emphasizing global collaboration for transformative learning and regenerative leadership.
