EQUATION: Advancing Gender Equality in Higher Education The Erasmus-funded EQUATION project (EQUality through accreditaTION) is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by CEEMAN, in partnership with IEDC Bled School of Management, Vistula University, Riga Technical University, and WSB University. The project addresses persistent gender equality challenges in higher education, particularly within business schools. EQUATION seeks to dismantle systemic and cultural barriers that hinder the recruitment, retention, and career progression of women, while also integrating gender perspectives into quality assurance and accreditation processes. Project Goals and Deliverables: Develop Tools and Guidelines for implementing Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) to drive institutional and cultural transformation. Support Accreditation Bodies by incorporating gender equality into evaluation frameworks and standards. Deliverables Include: comprehensive reports on gender dynamics in business schools, tailored GEPs, training resources for academic staff and accreditation evaluators, and actionable guidelines for embedding gender equality into quality assurance. The EQUATION project aspires to inspire systemic change across the educational landscape, fostering inclusivity and equity in academic and professional environments.
To understand the candidate pipeline through a study of motivations, information channels, and perceived value of GME, GMAC partnered with Hanover Research to conduct a survey of 10,000 respondents in 21 countries.
