The 34th CEEMAN Annual Conference, held on 23–25 September 2026 in Bucharest, brought together 110 participants from 23 countries for three days of discussion, exchange and new connections around the theme “Business Schools as Ecosystem Orchestrators: Engaging Business, Government, and Society.”

We are delighted to welcome Luka Komazec, CEO of Perutnina Ptuj Group, as a new member of the CEEMAN Board. Mr. Komazec brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in building and leading operationally complex, asset-heavy businesses across Central and Western Europe.

Researchers at the International Executive School, in collaboration with the University of the West Indies and Sharda University, have published a new study exploring how Indo-Caribbean older adults in Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago understand positive aging, challenging Western gerontological frameworks.

A new study led by Prof (Dr.) Zina Kyriakou of the International Executive School, Strasbourg, has been published in Global Crime. Produced with colleagues from institutions in Canada and India, the research explores how Middle Eastern financial executives navigate money laundering risks in Caribbean Citizenship by Investment schemes.

The 2026 CEEMAN Case Writing Competition, organized once again in cooperation with Emerald Publishing, attracted 58 case study submissions written by authors from 18 countries. The judging panel consisted of Leif Sjoblom (IMD, Switzerland), Alfred Rosenbloom (Dominican University, USA), and Shalini Rahul Tiwari (IMT Ghaziabad, India). We are very grateful for their time and expertise in judging this competition.

Since 2010, CEEMAN has annually recognized outstanding achievements of individuals from CEEMAN member institutions in the areas of teaching, research, institutional management, and responsible management education. There were 18 submissions from 15 institutions from 10 countries in the 2026 cycle. We are very grateful to the Jury members for their time and careful evaluation of all submissions.

We are happy to announce that the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland has been awarded the CEEMAN IQA re-accreditation for a period of six years. UEKat has been CEEMAN IQA accredited since 2020.

The CircleREdu project, coordinated by Bialystok University of Technology, supports the green transition through the development of an innovative educational programme combining Circular Economy principles and Reverse Engineering methods. It aims to prepare specialists who will support sustainable production, implement circular economy solutions in industry, and develop students’ digital, technical, and environmental skills.

Researchers at the International Executive School, together with Dr. Rita Persaud of Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, and Dr. Khagendra Nath Gangai of Sharda University, India, have published a powerful new study in Culture & Psychology on occupational health, culture, and the psychological toll on sugarcane workers in Guyana.

As artificial intelligence continues to transform business, education, and society, understanding how people interact with technology has become a key research priority worldwide. The Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (FEEM) at Riga Technical University (RTU) is contributing to this field through the development of HyperLab, an interdisciplinary research and innovation platform dedicated to advancing collaboration between human and artificial intelligence.
