The aim of this survey is to better understand the challenges and solutions business and management educators around the world face as they seek to include the issue of poverty and inequality into business school curricula, modules, programmes and courses. As such, it aims at (1) understanding progress made since a 2012 survey on responsible management, and (2) exploring the topic of responsible management education in light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The current survey is designed to measure changes to the inclusion of poverty, inequality and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), since a similar survey (with responses from 70 countries) was conducted in 2012. While the results of the first global survey were presented at the 4th PRME Global Forum held in conjunction with the UN’s Rio +20 Conference in Rio de Janeiro, the preliminary and final findings of this survey will be delivered at the PRME 2017 Global Forum in July in New York, and 4th RME Research Conference in September in Curitiba, Brazil, respectively.

To facilitate global coverage, the survey questionnaire has been offered in the following nine languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Chinese, Spanish, or Arabic
