On June 12, 2023, the PRME Council meeting was held in New York, followed by the PRME Global Forum 2023.
The founder and president of Almaty Management University (AlmaU) Asylbek Kozhakhmetov has been a member of the Council of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) for the last three years. On June 12, Asylbek Kozhakhmetov personally attended the last meeting of the Council, where new members were introduced, and commemorative souvenirs were presented to members completing their term of office in recognition of outstanding work.

Members of the PRME Council come from all over the world to promote responsible management education through PRME. The Board welcomes the diversity of knowledge, experience and perspectives that help PRME's aspirations for a better future.

Almaty Management University (AlmaU), as a socially responsible university, has been a member of the PRME program since 2009. Since 2012, the university has been preparing Progress Reports (SIPs). In 2021, AlmaU Vice-Rector for Global Partnerships Aigerim Kaumenova was nominated for the post of Committee Chair of the UN PRME Representative Office in Eurasia. A new chapter in Eurasia (Eurasian Chapter) was presented to the public during the UN PRME Global Representation Forum in 2021. AlmaU student Navruz Yerkaev has been representing the Eurasian region in the PRME Global Students initiative since 2022. Also on January 10, 2023, PRME announced the list of PRME Champions for 2023. Currently, about 800 business schools and educational institutions teaching management have subscribed to the principles of PRME. Of these, 47 PRME signatory members from 25 countries of the world received the status of PRME Champions, including Kazakhstan represented by Almaty Management University. PRME Champions is the flagship program of PRME, a community of higher education institutions that are signatories of the initiative, whose mission is to develop thinking and practical skills in the field of responsible management in the context of the UN sustainable development agenda.

We look forward to continuing our fruitful and mutually beneficial collaboration to promote responsible governance education through PRME and other global initiatives.
