CEEMAN and IEDC president yesterday delivered the speech at the UN PRME Global Forum. She was awarded for her pioneering contribution to the establishment of the PRME initiative.
Prof. Danica Purg took part at the UN PRME Global Forum in New York in her role of a member and former. Chair of the PRME Steering Committee and representative of IEDC-Bled School of Management which is the only PRME Champion from CEE and one of 29 in the world. The Forum is also a celebration of 10 years of PRME and it is taking place in conjunction with the UN's High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. At this occasion, the Global UN PRME Forum awarded Prof. Purg and for her pioneering work in establishing the UN PRME initiative. The ceremony took place in the UN Headquarters.

Close to 280 participants from 46 countries are taking part at the Forum, and a record number of high-level executives of PRME signatory institutions (close to 80 deans, rectors, presidents and associate deans).
Prof. Purg delivered a speech in  the highest executive session and presented her views and experience on »What do the SDGs Mean for Us? Challenges and Opportunities in Implementing a Responsible Management Education Paradigm".
She focused on the importance of faculty development, incentive and training systems to support SDG implementation and stressed that IEDC-Bled School of Management has immediately embraced the UN PRME initiative and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, because they are right in the heart of IEDC’s vision and mission.

Also CEEMAN has an important role in PRME and responsible management education. CEEMAN has been one of the members of PRME Steering Steering Committee since 2010. With one of its the most important programs IMTA (International Management Teachers Academy) CEEMAN transfers the knowledge and skills of the very best professors to a younger generation of professors. And although they all integrate the PRME principles in their lectures, we introduced in 2013 a special track called “Business in Society”.
