On September 27 a Gala reception was held in the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) to celebrate the Association of MBA’s (AMBA) accreditation obtained by the Graduate School of Corporate Management (GSCM). AMBA is the leading Association of business education in the world and RANEPA’s long-term partner. In 2017 AMBA celebrated its 50th Anniversary, and its accreditation is the highest international assessment of the quality of post-graduate programmes. Only 12 business schools are accredited by AMBA in Russia. GSCM RANEPA successfully passed the AMBA accreditation for the second time for a period of 5 years “without conditions”. For the first time the School was accredited by AMBA in 2014 (for 3 years).

Over 300 students, alumni and special guests attended the event organized by GSCM. The program included an official part and an evening reception. The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the RANEPA Vladimir Mau and the Dean of GSCM Sergey Kalendzhyan. Vladimir Mau congratulated GSCM on this important event and wished further success and new achievements in the international development. Among the speakers there was Vice-Rector of the RANEPA, Director of the Institute of Business Studies (IBS), President of the Russian Association of Business Education (RABE) Sergey Myasoedov, General Director of RABE Natalia Evtikhieva, Chief expert of AMBA accreditation in Russia Elena Zoubkova.

All speakers noted the difficulty of obtaining AMBA accreditation which assures the compliance of programmes with high international quality standards. According to Elena Zoubkova, “Accreditation is not the goal but the result of excellent and worthy job of the business school. GSCM is the only business school in Russia which has AMBA accredited DBA programme”.

During the evening reception there was a special awarding ceremony for students, alumni and faculty to mark their contribution in obtaining international accreditation. All the participants received special gifts from GSCM.
