Inauguration of the Academic Year 2022/2023 at UEHS in Warsaw

On October 14, 2022, the official Inauguration of the Academic Year 2022/2023 took place at the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw. During the event, the all guests listened to inaugural lectures, witnessed the proffering of appointment letters for the Deans and Vice-Deans and got to know the laureats of the first edition of the contest for the best social project. First-year students took a solemn oath, thus officially joining the student community.

On October 14, 2022, the official Inauguration of the Academic Year 2022/2023 took place at the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw. The ceremony took place in the Main Hall of the UEHS campus, which was filled by students and their relatives, invited guests, research and teaching staff and administrative staff of the university.

The Inauguration began with the speech of the UEHS Rector, prof. Konrad Janowski, directed to the student community. The Rector presented to the audience how many languages are used by the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw, both in a linguistic context, and in relation to the use of the languages of tolerance and respect for diversity, the languages of science, modernity and social responsibility.

Afterwards, the Rector proffered official appointment letters to the Deans and Vice-Deans of UEHS faculties, as well as to the Director of the PhD School - prof. Radosław Wiśniewski and the Chairman of the Scientific Council of UEHS - prof. Mieczysław Plopa.


































Another important point of the event was the award ceremony of the first edition of the Competition for the Best Social Project. The award was presented by the Chairman of the Competition Jury, prof. Tomasz Kownacki and prof. Radoslaw Wiśniewski. Laureates - Maja Bagłaj and Dorota Seidler - won PLN 5000, founded by UEHS Rector.

Later, first-year students took a solemn oath, thus officially joining the student community.

The Inauguration was graced by the presence of Grażyna Torbicka - a Polish journalist, TV presenter and TV personality. Mrs. Torbicka gave the inaugural lecture entitled "Art as a way to search for oneself", in which the words related to cultivating one's sensitivity to art and not to be afraid of emotions caused by art resounded strongly.
