“Receiving such a prestigious accreditation can be perceived as an award for the increased activity in the area of internationalization that has taken place at University of Economics in Katowice in recent years. CEEMAN IQA is the first international institutional accreditation in the history of our University and also the only one among other HEIs in the region of Upper-Silesia. The process of obtaining it has proved to be very challenging, inspiring and integrating for our academic community: faculty, administration, students, alumni, partners from the business and institutional environment. We hope that this accreditation will mean greater recognition of Polish HEIs on the global market. In turn, our faculty will be more attractive partners for international research teams. In addition, the value of the UE Katowice’s diploma in the region, the country and abroad keeps rising as we have recently been ranked as the third best university of economics in Poland. We are proud to create today's managers for tomorrow's challenges” – says Prof. Robert Tomanek, Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice.

  • Employability rate is at a record level of 85 %
  • Many CEOs of the biggest companies in Poland graduated from UE Katowice (2nd place in Upper Silesia and among 10 best in Poland).

“Internationalization of the University of Economics in Katowice is consistently becoming our goal, function and, at the same time, a way of operating in the globalized world of higher education. Today, our university, as a center of intellectual exchange, carries a completely different burden of responsibility. Science should create not only theories, but also proposals on how to solve real economic and civilizational problems, or how to improve the quality of life. All these problems are of global nature. In consequence, if we want to internationalize our university, we cannot focus on the isolated function of internationalization, but we should embrace the overall process of creating a global knowledge society. Today, we need to concentrate on the quality of education and research, innovation, sustainability and social functions of the university. The more holistically we approach internationalization, the sooner we will become a fully-fledged actor in the global market of higher education.” – says Prof. Sławomir Smyczek, Vice-Rector for Education and Internationalization.

The process of obtaining CEEMAN accreditation by University of Economics in Katowice was co-financed from funds obtained under the project implemented with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
