We are extremely pleased to announce that thanks to the efforts of Dr. Maciej Kluz, following a formal request from His Magnificence Rector Prof. Konrad Janowski, the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw has been included in the CEEPUS network of accredited universities.

Our university will join the network SK-1018-00-2425 – Biology, Biotechnology and Food Sciences, which was awarded the CEEPUS 2021 Ministers' Prize and was the best in Europe. This award was received in September 2023 from the hands of the Minister of Science and Education, Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, by Dr Maciej Kluz.

The coordinator and creator of the network is Prof. Miroslava Kacaniova (a new employee of our university), and the coordinator of the CEEPUS programme at the UEHS is Dr Maciej Kluz.

The primary objective of the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) agreement is to support academic exchange in the field of training and professional development of students and academic teachers. It enables the intensification of contacts between universities in the Covenant countries through funding for academic mobility.

The CEEPUS programme offers:

  • short-term scholarships for academic internships within the Academic Networks;
  • short-term scholarships in the framework of 'Freemover' scientific internships;
  • short-term scholarships in the framework of summer schools and internsive courses.

CEEPUS scholarships abroad can be applied for by students, doctoral students and academics.

Currently, the signatories of the Agreement are: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo – University of Pristina.

Within the framework of the currently implemented CEEPUS III Agreement, more than 500 Polish students and participants of doctoral studies and about 300 academic teachers participate annually in various forms of education and improvement of professional qualifications. On average, about 300 foreign students and doctoral students and about 200 academic teachers come to Poland as part of the Programme during an academic year.

For the Ministry of Education and Science, CEEPUS is the second most important multilateral cooperation programme in the field of higher education.
