The journal "Research Papers of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business" has a long tradition, it has been published continuously since 1956, that is for 66 years. Initially, it was published as "Scientific Journals of the Wrocław High School of Economics" (in the years 1956-1964), later as "Scientific Papers of the Wrocław High School of Economics" (in the years 1965-1974), and then as "Scientific Papers of the Wrocław Academy of Economics” (in the years 1974-2008). Since 2008, scientific articles have been published in the journal under the name "Research Papers of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business". The journal has repeatedly obtained the highest scores in the lists of scientific journals published by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
The journal is a forum for the publication of original results of theoretical and empirical research on the disciplines of economics, finance, management and quality, and for making them available on the basis of open and non-commercial access. It includes articles in the field of social sciences, in such research areas as: business, finance, demography, economics, environmental protection, management, sociology, applied mathematics, statistics, econometrics, economic IT, and tourism.
The journal "Research Papers of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business" is a quarterly, and all articles are published (in Polish or English) under the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, in accordance with the principles of publishing ethics, in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Each issue of the journal is distributed in free access, incl. on the journal's website http://pracenaukowe.ue.wroc.pl.
The editorial board of the journal uses a rigorous review procedure, which consists in a two-stage review of the submitted articles (initial evaluation and basic reviews) in accordance with the double-blind review process via the Review system (website https://review.ue.wroc.pl). All articles are verified in the anti-plagiarism system.
The journal enjoys great recognition in the scientific community. In the Google Scholar ranks fourth among the most-cited works in Polish over the last five years with an h index of 14.
The publishing house of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business actively supports the activities of the journal's editorial staff in ensuring the highest editorial standards and in the field of disseminating the journal in the Internet space and international circulation. In 2022, the accession form to the Scopus database was submitted. In 2021, an application was also submitted under the Ministry program "Development of scientific journals".
