Less than 3 months from now, CEEMAN is going to hold its 25th annual conference in Hangzhou in Zheijang province, China. Hangzhou, once a pearl of the ancient Silk Road, is today one of the best examples of Chinese innovative growth in global economy.

IMTA faculty believes that everybody can step out of their comfort zone of teaching, see themselves as they are, re- evaluate, find other possibilities and exercise new approaches to how to teach. Shaping and reshaping the teaching is what was happens at IMTA all the time.

29 participants from all over the world arrived at Bled on Sunday 11 June for a two week academy to get to know and learn about the latest teaching practices in management education.

Three-day Program Management seminar ended in Bled. From 5 April, 51 participants from all over the world had a unique opportunity to meet new people and colleagues from other countries and listen to some of the most prominent professors of business education in Bled.

Under the organization of CEEMAN, program management seminar starts with a record number of 51 participant from 33 institutions from 20 countries coming to Bled to join the three-day program.

Participants from 7 countries and 8 partnership organizations of LEAD4SKILLS project met at IEDC- Bled School of Management in Bled from 3 to 4 April.

CEEMAN is very proud to announce that the Wrocław University of Economics has acquired International Quality Accreditation (IQA) for duration of six years and has become part of CEEMAN IQA Community.

We are pleased to announce that International Quality Re-Accreditation was awarded to Almaty Management University (hereinafter: AlmaU). Based on the site visit to AlmaU in December 2016, it was recognized that AlmaU continues to hold one of the leading positions in the national market of management education.

We are pleased to announce that International Quality Accreditation was awarded to Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship, Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin (hereinafter: IPAE UrFU). Based on the site visit to IPAE UrFU in October 2016, it was acknowledged that IPAE UrFU is leading academic and teaching institution in the field of public administration, public relations, entrepreneurship and management oriented towards solving relevant tasks of innovation development of the Ural Federal Region and the country in general.

CEEMAN President and Dean of IEDC, prof. Danica Purg participated at Gaidar Forum, held in Moscowr, Russia from 12 to 14 January. Prof. Purg participated in three panels.

We are pleased to announce that Board of European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) on 30 November 2016 approved CEEMAN IQA’s request to become Affiliate Member of ENQA.

Mr. Nikos Koumettis, President of Central & Eastern Europe Business Unit for The Coca-Cola Company, based in Athens, has joined CEEMAN Board to replace Frank Molthan, General Manager of the Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke AG.

We are pleased to announce that CEEMAN has been accepted as a Full Member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). INQAAHE, established in 1991, is a world-wide association of over 200 Quality Assurance Agencies (QAA) in higher education.

Early registrations for IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy and Program Management Seminar are currently available. Plan to send candidates for both programs and register them before 21 December 2016 to receive additional 20% reduction on the early-bird fee for one participant in the Program Management Seminar.

At the last EQUAL Board meeting that was organized and hosted by RISEBA University on 25 October 2016 in Riga, new Chair and Vice-Chair of EQUAL Board were elected. Professor Eric Waarts (VSNU) was elected as Chair and Professor Jérôme Rive (IAE France) was elected as Vice-Chair of EQUAL Board.

CEEMAN has received approval for “Skilled Business Leaders for Skilled Europe” project funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union (KA2 Strategic Partnerships) for preparation of cross-country report based on the findings of CEEMAN-led research on Management Development Needs in Dynamic Societies, development of guidelines for higher education institutions curricula, teaching materials and tools, and related education and dissemination events.
