On the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the RISEBA University, one of the first private higher education institutions and among 10 largest higher education institutions in Latvia, Prof. Danica Purg will be awarded a Professor Honoris Causa, one highest academic recognitions.
Professor Danica Purg is the President of CEEMAN and President of IEDC-Bled School of Managent, and is also leading the European Leadership Centre (ELC).
Prof. Purg has received a number of awards for her outstanding achievements in international business education. In 2010 Prof. Purg was awarded the 2010 International Educator of the Year Award by the Academy of International Business (AIB) and on Friday she received a Professor Honoris Causa recognition from RISEBA University in Riga, Latvia.

The title of Professor Honoris Causa is an honorary title granted through an exceptional procedure in order to acknowledge and distinguish a person whose knowledge and wisdom are considered exemplary.
The award ceremony took place on Friday, October 20 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary celebration of RISEBA University and was conferred to Prof. Purg by RISEBA Rector, Irina Sennikova.

Prof. Purg acceptance words were: “I am with great honor and gratitude accepting your invitation to become Professor Honoris Causa at your well known institution. Your university was under the leadership of rector Kurovs, one of the pioneering institutions in the New Europe and from the beginning a member of CEEMAN.
Your personal engagement as actual Rector and as well as the Vice President of CEEMAN and the leader of EQUAL, was of the utmost importance to the management development in the last decades. RISEBA has under your leadership grown into a world class innovative institution.”
