WSB University in Poland invites world-class scientists to cooperate under Science and Assistance Support Fund. The idea of the Fund established by Poland’s first statutory Metropolis is to help universities improve the attractiveness of their scientific and educational offer, encourage students to live in the region and pursue their professional goals after completing their education. With this kind of joint activity we are looking for a synergy effect to increase the chances of investor interest in the offer of cities and communes of the Metropolis, as well as to improve the comfort and quality of life of residents, including the students.

About the Metropolis:

The Metropolis unites 41 municipalities and communes from the Silesian voivodeship with a total area of 2,500 km², 2.3 million residents and 240,000 companies and enterprises. The creation of the Metropolis in the center of the Silesian Province was a natural consequence of improving the quality and comfort of life of residents. Thanks to this joint solution we can use the potential of member communes, stimulate the creativity of residents and inspire change, enabling the acceleration of economic and social processes, leading to the creation of a growth center that can compete with other metropolitan areas both locally and globally.

About the cooperation:

Universities operating in the Metropolis educate approximately 120,000 students. Each university can receive grants to cover the costs of salaries of distinguished scientists who will conduct lectures, seminars, laboratories or consultations for our students to 2022.

The WSB University offer is dedicated to scientists who are affiliated at the universities from the list of 20 best universities in the world according to the most prestigious academic rankings, e.g. the Academic Ranking of World Universities, CWUR World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, QS Top University rankings.

Invited experts may take part in single events, including online lectures or stay at the university for a period of one month up to the entire semester, conducting diploma seminars, discussion panels, giving consultations and lectures, implementing projects, etc.

Outstanding personalities from CEEMAN worldwide community, experts in the world of science or business that we could host at our University are invited to participate in this initiative.
