After its Cluster 2 networking session in June, Impacto Centro Studi is launching a new European networking event on 15 December 2026, dedicated to Horizon Europe WIDERA. The online session will present the calls Talent Ecosystems for Attractive Early Research Careers and Excellence Hubs, and help organisations find partners for future consortia.

Building a strong Horizon Europe consortium starts well before the proposal is written. It means finding organisations with complementary expertise around a shared opportunity.

Following our Horizon Europe Cluster 2 Networking Session in June, on 15 December 2026 Impacto Centro Studi will bring organisations from across Europe together for a new online networking session, this time dedicated to Horizon Europe WIDERA.

The event will focus on two opportunities from the 2027 Work Programme:

HORIZON-WIDERA-2027-05-ERA-02 – Talent ecosystems for attractive early research careers
The topic aims to make research careers more attractive and sustainable by strengthening cooperation within research and innovation ecosystems. Around 15 projects of approximately €2 million each are expected to be funded. Deadline: 11 March 2027.

HORIZON-WIDERA-2027-04-WIDENING-01 – Excellence Hubs
The call supports connected regional innovation ecosystems in Widening countries, bringing together universities, research organisations, businesses, public authorities and civil society. Projects are expected to receive €1.5–4.5 million. Deadline: 4 March 2027.

From calls to connections
After a short introduction to the opportunities, most of the event will be dedicated to networking and partner discovery. Participants will first introduce their organisations, expertise and research interests. Call-specific breakout rooms on Talent Ecosystems for Attractive Early Research Careers and Excellence Hubs will then provide space to discuss roles, expertise and future collaborations.

Present your idea or join a partnership
Organisations with a project idea will have the opportunity to present a concept note and look for partners to complete their consortium. Those without one can join emerging partnerships and bring their expertise to proposals in development.

The event is open to universities, research organisations, public authorities, businesses, startups and SMEs, civil society organisations and innovation support organisations. Organisations from Widening countries are particularly encouraged to join the Excellence Hubs session.

Participants interested in moving towards a proposal will be invited to a follow-up consortium meeting in January 2027.
