About
The International Management Teachers Academy (IMTA) is more than a training program — it is a transformative experience for faculty who want to elevate their teaching to a world-class level. At IMTA, participants rethink and redesign curricula, strengthen course design, enrich teaching materials, and master modern, high-impact teaching methods.
IMTA places strong emphasis on the case method — teaching with cases, writing your own cases, and delivering meaningful performance feedback. Participants also deepen discipline-specific competences and managerial skills to become more confident, effective, and inspiring educators.
One of IMTA’s greatest strengths is its vibrant international community. Faculty from around the world exchange ideas, share challenges, and build lasting professional networks, creating a continuous source of inspiration long after the program finishes.
Feedback consistently shows that IMTA’s impact reaches far beyond individual development. Graduates return to their schools with fresh perspectives, renewed motivation, and innovative approaches that enrich their students, colleagues, and entire institutions.
The most notable outcomes of the IMTA program include:
- Enhanced teaching excellence: Participants strengthen their educational skills and adopt innovative, high-impact teaching methods.
- Creation of new learning materials: Faculty develop engaging curricula, courses, and teaching resources.
- Research innovation: The program sparks new research projects and opens pathways for doctoral theses.
- Higher student satisfaction: Graduates report improved engagement and learning outcomes among their students.
- International recognition: IMTA alumni have won prestigious awards in global case competitions.
- Institutional impact: Participants contribute to the growth, modernization, and reputation of their home institutions.
- Global collaboration: Faculty expand international networks, foster partnerships, and engage in cross-border knowledge exchange.

The IMTA Alumni Association unites over 755 graduates from 180 institutions across 54 countries. This vibrant global network serves as a powerful platform for continued professional growth, exchange of ideas, collaborative projects, and initiatives. IMTA alumni actively contribute to the development and innovation of their home institutions, strengthening both individual and organizational impact worldwide.
Program
IMTA is an intensive, highly interactive program balancing general management education with discipline-specific insights. It equips faculty with skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in multiple roles within their institutions.
Part 1 (14–17 June 2026)
Focuses on general aspects of management education with special emphasis on the case method and project work. Participants explore essential skills required for the multifaceted roles faculty members hold, including teaching, mentoring, and leadership.
Part 2 (17–20 June 2026)
Organized into disciplinary tracks, this part addresses teaching and learning needs specific to different management disciplines while providing interdisciplinary perspectives. Tracks are highly practical and individualized, emphasizing pedagogical choices, experimentation, and hands-on practice. Participants have opportunities to teach cases with feedback from mentors and peers.
Depending on enrollment, two to three disciplinary tracks will be offered. Individual or small-group coaching is also available during and after the program.
Program Preparation and Experience
Pre-program preparation is required, with readings provided in advance. During IMTA, participants engage in plenary sessions, small group discussions, networking opportunities, and evening preparation work. A cultural tour may be arranged on Sunday, 21 June 2026.
