On February 14, 2014, EU Business School will host the English-language launch of Dölf Ogi: Statesman and Sportsman, the new biography of former Swiss President and EU Business School doctor honoris causa, Adolf Ogi. The event will take place at the Palais des Nations, Geneva.
Distinguished guest speaker Kofi Annan, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, will join Ogi and show his support as a reflection of their long-time friendship and cooperation at the United Nations.
The unprecedented success of Dölf Ogi: Statesman and Sportsman in the French and German markets has led to its publication in English. The biography documents Ogi’s unique career from village boy in Kandersteg to two-time president of Switzerland, including his seven-year career at the United Nations. Written by Georges Wüthrich, journalist, editor and current affairs commentator; and Andre Häfliger, reporter, society journalist and Ogi expert, this 176-page book is sure to be a success.

The event on 14 February will feature a welcome and introduction by Sahron Valdettaro, Member of the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Bern, and greetings from both Dr. Dirk Craen, President of EU Business School, and Annette Weber from the publishing house Weber Verlag. Following the opening, there will be a short presentation by Kofi Annan and a talk with Le Matin journalist, Peter Rothenbühler.
