The Masters Leadership Symposium is designed for senior leadership with strategic responsibility for non-MBA programs. Thought graduate management education leaders will address current challenges through formal and informal networking opportunities, gain inspiration through case study examples, and explore new ideas in program leadership practice.

The Masters Leadership Symposium is a premier event designed specifically for senior leadership with strategic responsibility for non-MBA programs.

We have designed delivery of content in a way that is participatory and open to discussion to maximize our collective learning. Come prepared to share your challenges, innovations, and best practices to ensure we all walk away with an “Masters Management Toolkit” of sorts and a network of professionals we can tap into for ideas and commiseration as we move forward.

Topics that may be covered during the Symposium include*

  • Perspective on the Masters Landscape: as graduate management education undergoes tremendous change, new entrants are offering faster and cheaper educational offerings affecting demand for traditional programs. Where is GME headed and what role will master’s programs assume in this future?
  • Positioning Masters Programs in a Portfolio – what is the value proposition of a business masters degree relative to an MBA? Who are we targeting with each type of program both on the demand (candidates) and supply side (corporates)?
  • Decoding the Student Engagement Dilemma – schools are experiencing a drop in student engagement, whether it be in class, at events, and other initiatives. Doubling down on traditional communication methods is not moving the needle. Is this behavior a response to the pandemic or is this a greater generational shift? How might we address this?
  • Student Experience and Learning Design – this session will explore innovations in the design and delivery of master programs in an era of stackable credentials, fully online and hybrid formats, and action-based learning. How are we managing and delivering on student expectations? How are we resourcing program enhancements to meet corporate demand?
  • Leveraging Technology and its Role in Program Delivery– how is AI evolving and what is the potential impact on the learning experience? What other technologies are emerging that we need to evaluate and consider for our institutions?
  • Student Outcomes, Placement and Corporate Engagement – how can you best manage and align career services and corporate engagement across a portfolio of programs? How are we supporting and measuring student outcomes? This session will evaluate innovations in student outcomes, including gamification, partnerships and enhanced organizational structures.
