This year, IES will present two impactful research studies, each offering student-centered perspectives on current challenges in higher education:
1) Industry Involvement in Curriculum Design and Delivery: The Perspective of Business Students in Myanmar
This research examines the views of business students in Myanmar regarding industry participation in their academic programs. It evaluates how co-designed curricula, guest lectures, and practical projects influence student engagement and preparedness for the job market, particularly in emerging economies with evolving higher education systems.
2) Navigating the Digital Classroom: Guyanese Students' Perspectives on Technology Integration in Education
Focused on the Caribbean context, this study explores how students in Guyana are experiencing the shift toward digital learning environments. It identifies both the benefits and barriers to effective technology use in education, providing valuable insights into infrastructure, pedagogy, and student adaptation in a rapidly digitizing world. These presentations reflect IES’s commitment to advancing research that bridges academic theory and real-world application, particularly in underrepresented and emerging contexts.
