Program
Invitation to the 34th CEEMAN Annual Conference
Management development institutions are in the unique position to promote cooperation and partnerships between business, government, and society. In educational programs and research, the borders between the main players in society are challenged. There is an increasing awareness that the main global problems (ecological, poverty, migrations) can be resolved only by the cooperation of all involved players.
In the actual times of deglobalization, the management schools can play an important role in co-creating ecosystems for regional development and welfare.
The CEEMAN Annual Conference in Bucharest will bring together about 150 participants from around the world to discuss these challenges and to learn from each other and from the engaged business leaders, the government, and civil society leaders.
The Annual Conference starts on Wednesday, September 23, with the Company visits and continuing in the afternoon with the Poster session for faculty and researchers. On Thursday, we have different panels on the main Conference topic, and later in the afternoon, the CEEMAN Annual Meeting and the Awards Ceremony.
The authors of the best case studies, the best researchers, the best professors of sustainable development, and the best leaders of management schools will receive awards.
The interesting event at every CEEMAN conference is also the possibility of getting an organized Dean2Dean Meeting: the individual meeting to share and get personal advice from another dean or president and discuss potential cooperation and partnerships.
The second day of the Conference, on Friday, presentations, panels, and discussions will continue, and the Conference will close with the gala dinner, which is always introduced by a cultural event of the guest country and finished by the gala dance, the hallmark of CEEMAN Annual Conference.
Saturday, September 26, we plan a trip through Bucharest, and also a longer trip, visiting the extraordinary places in Romania.
We have reserved the great hotels for you in Bucharest within walking distance from the conference venue, Bucharest Business School.
The CEEMAN international community is indeed a great family of management schools, developing and growing together. Besides learning, we have a lot of fun at our meetings, celebrating it with the gala dance. Don’t miss it!
Both partners, CEEMAN and Bucharest Business School, are waiting to receive you! See you in Bucharest on September 23rd!
P.S. The detailed agenda will follow in March.
Logistics
Bucharest, city and municipality, the economic, administrative, and cultural center of Romania. It lies in the middle of the Romanian plain, on the banks of the Dâmbovița, a small northern tributary of the Danube. Once known as "Little Paris" for its elegant architecture, Romania's capital, Bucharest, is rich with an ancient history that blends with its modern identity. The confluence of architecture is dizzying and fascinating, creating a whole list of tourist attractions in Bucharest. Its Byzantine buildings; churches of the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth centuries; Art Nouveau mansions; and spectacular neoclassical facades have survived earthquakes, war, and later, communism – and they all blend together to create a breathtaking urban spectacle.
