SPECA Summer School “Doing Business in Central Asia” 2024

The School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SEI), AlmaU opened applications to the upcoming SPECA Summer School “Doing Business in Central Asia” 2024 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

We are happy to announce that the School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SEI), AlmaU has just opened applications to our upcoming  SPECA Summer School “Doing Business in Central Asia” 2024. For those that haven’t heard about the SPECA Summer School, it’s a hands-on, week-long course, run and hosted by the internationally accredited School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, AlmaU, to help international students, alumni, and international budding entrepreneurs learn the practical skills they need to set up/scaleup/expand a business in the SPECA Subregion (Central Asia+).

The course gives students a conceptual framework and practical knowledge regarding entrepreneurship, finance, and investments in Central Asia. Students will be able to recognize the diversity, economic development, and economic potential of Central Asian countries, evaluate them in terms of their market potential, and identify how foreign and emerging market multinationals, SMEs and Social Entrepreneurs enter these markets. Students will learn to analyze specific strategies for developing business and learn to research and appreciate the unique context of the emerging market country.

The SPECA Summer School will be held on 1 July 2024 and will be held in person in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Competition for places is fierce – so applicants will be asked to submit a supporting statement to explain why they wish to attend in 100 words or less. After you have registered your interest, you will be informed within approximately one week whether your application to attend was successful.

Accommodation, breakfast, coffee breaks, study materials, and transfers are included.

The language of instruction is English.

Number of credits: 3 ECTS.

Requirements: English language proficiency (at least B1) and age above 18 years.

Optional: One day tour in Astana.
