The University of Applied Sciences in Bielsko-Biała, publisher of the Scientific Journal of Bielsko-Biała School of Finance and Law (Polish title: Zeszyty Naukowe Wyższej Szkoły Finansów i Prawa w Bielsku-Białej) – ISSN 2543-9103; eISSN 2543-411X – cordially invites the submission of scholarly articles for the forthcoming issue. The journal operates under an open access model, recognizing the free circulation of knowledge as one of the fundamental conditions for the development of science and responsible public debate.
The Scientific Journal of Bielsko-Biała School of Finance and Law is a peer-reviewed international quarterly, indexed in international scientific journal databases and included on the list of journals of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. For nearly three decades, it has combined high methodological rigor with openness to diverse research perspectives. Both the Programme Council and the Scientific Council of the journal consist to a significant extent of experts from foreign academic institutions. The work of both councils has for many years been chaired by Prof. Medani P. Bhandari (USA). Reviewers are recruited from among experts and professors affiliated with international research centers.
The published articles are situated at the intersection of theory and practice, economics and business, law, cybersecurity, and other research areas within the discipline of social sciences. Manuscripts are addressed not only to a narrow circle of specialists, but also to researchers seeking in-depth analyses, public decision-makers, and economic practitioners interested in scientifically grounded diagnoses of contemporary economic processes. A prominent place in the journal’s thematic profile is occupied by issues related to transformation processes, understood broadly as structural, technological, institutional, and social changes. These include, among others, the functioning of financial markets under conditions of uncertainty and systemic risk, the stability of public finances, challenges of fiscal and monetary policy, as well as the long-term effects of globalization and economic regionalization. An important area of interest also concerns regional and local development processes, analyzed in the context of competitiveness, social cohesion, and the adaptive capacity of economies. Significant attention is likewise devoted to research on sustainable development and the green transition, including the economic and financial consequences of climate policies, energy transformation, and the implementation of circular economy principles. In this context, analyses that combine an economic perspective with regulatory and institutional dimensions are particularly valued. Of special importance is the conviction that economic sciences do not operate in a vacuum, but are firmly embedded in specific social, legal, and cultural realities. This perspective encourages engagement with complex issues that require going beyond narrow disciplinary specializations.
The journal accepts theoretical and empirical articles, including quantitative and qualitative analyses, comparative studies, case studies, and interdisciplinary research. The editorial board values submissions characterized by a clearly defined research problem, transparent methodological assumptions, and coherent argumentation. Particular merit is attributed to works that engage in dialogue with current international literature and present research findings relevant to economic practice and public policy. Dynamic global processes, increasing systemic uncertainty, pressure from technological and climate transformation, and the redefinition of the role of public institutions mean that classical analytical frameworks are increasingly insufficient. In this situation, the importance of scholarly reflection grows, not only explaining phenomena but also enabling an understanding of their long-term social and institutional consequences.
All submitted articles are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process, conducted in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics. The editorial board places special emphasis on the originality of published content, the reliability of the research methodology, and the authors’ responsibility for the conclusions presented. The integrity of the publication process is treated as a necessary condition for maintaining the high academic standard of the journal.
The editorial team invites Authors to submit manuscripts that will not only expand the achievements of economic and financial sciences, but also contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex processes shaping the contemporary economy from the perspective of broadly understood social sciences. Publication in the Scientific Journal of Bielsko-Biała School of Finance and Law constitutes an invitation to participate in a reflective, responsible, and international scholarly debate.
