The 26th CEEMAN Annual Conference titled “Redefining Management Education: Excellence and Relevance” will take place from 19-21 September 2018 in the city of Prague, Czech Republic.

Redefining Management Education: Excellence and Relevance

The 2018 annual conference will deal with the topics that have been high on the agenda of management education professionals lately, such as:

  • how to make management education more relevant in order to prepare future corporate leaders and successful entrepreneurs
  • how to make academic research more relevant
  • how do we narrow the gap between management practice and education, etc.

The keynote of the upcoming conference in Prague will be Roger Martin, named the world’s #1 management thinker by Thinkers50 in 2017. He will share his views on redefining management education in a provocative talk “Management Education and the Dark Side of Efficiency”

CEEMAN Annual Conference traditionally includes a series of events in order to get to know first the business, political and social realities of the host country (including through company visits, experiential workshops, keynote business panels), and then to discuss implications, best practices and collaboration in the area of management development (business education keynotes, international panels, roundtable discussions and workshops).

The conference will be co-organized with University of New York in Prague, the largest and leading English language higher education institution in the Czech Republic. Established in 1998, the UNYP offers accredited Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, and PhD programs in English as an officially recognized higher education institution in the Czech Republic, and in partnership with prestigious international universities in the United States and Europe. The UNYP has an international student body (800 students from over 60 different countries) and the most diverse and international faculty in the Czech Republic.
