The 23rd Sustainability International Conference, hosted by the Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST) in Kuwait from 11–13 November 2025, is inviting submissions for the “Heritage and Historical Contexts” track. This track explores the diverse legacies and historical experiences that continue to shape host communities and influence diasporic populations around the world. It will consider how inherited cultural frameworks — shaped by religion, tradition, language, and socio-economic practices—are maintained, transformed, or reinterpreted in new sociocultural environments. Areas of focus include (but are not limited to):

-          Religio-cultural beliefs and practices

-          Intergenerational cultural and economic traditions

-          Language as a vehicle for cultural transmission

-          Cultural diversity, ethnicity, and nationalism

-          Adaptation, assimilation, and the synthesis of cultural identities in host countries

By engaging with these themes, the track aims to critically examine how historical context and cultural heritage contribute to identity formation, social cohesion, and sustainable development within multicultural societies.

Researchers and practitioners interested in contributing are encouraged to contact Dr. Jimmy Naipaul at jimmynaipaul@ies.education for more information.
