Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) & Dissemination Event
As part of the Erasmus+ KA220-HED EQUation through AccreditaTION (EQUATION) project, Work Package 4 (WP4) focuses on integrating gender equality into accreditation standards for business schools and higher education institutions. Two significant events will take place in Bled, Slovenia, bringing together key stakeholders to foster discussion, develop concrete guidelines, and build momentum for institutional change by embedding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) principles into accreditation frameworks.
The Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) Program for Accreditation Evaluators and Business Schools, scheduled for March 3, 2025, is designed to equip accreditation evaluators and business school representatives with the necessary tools to assess and implement gender equality within accreditation processes. The event will focus on the Guidelines for Accreditation Institutions through expert-led discussions on gender-inclusive accreditation frameworks, case studies showcasing best practices, and interactive group activities aimed at identifying challenges and refining strategies. With a small-group format of 10 to 15 participants, the event ensures deep engagement and meaningful dialogue, allowing key stakeholders to contribute effectively to shaping accreditation policies.
The Dissemination Event, taking place on March 4, 2025, will serve as a platform to present the key project outcomes, including the Gender Equality Guidelines for Accreditation Institutions, Gender Equality Plans (GEPs), and best practices for mainstreaming gender equality in accreditation. Expert presentations and interactive discussions will explore how accreditation standards can align with gender equality and sustainability agendas, address challenges in embedding DEIB principles within accreditation, and discuss strategies for overcoming resistance to change in accreditation frameworks.
Both events are essential milestones in advancing gender equality in accreditation, providing evaluators and business schools with concrete tools and frameworks, encouraging institutional change through collaboration, and ensuring a sustainable impact on higher education accreditation standards.
