The International Executive School, Strasbourg, will showcase cutting-edge research at the ICSB World Congress 2025 in Cairo, Egypt, November 25-27, through two collaborative studies examining critical workplace and entrepreneurial dynamics in the Egyptian market.
PhD candidate Frank Naboulsi, MBA, and Dr. Jimmy Naipaul will present their joint research titled 'Occupational Stress and Job Satisfaction Among Women Hotel Workers in Egypt: A Cross-Sectional Analysis.' This study examines the relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction among female employees across different job functions in Egypt's hotel industry, contributing to understanding of workforce management in Egypt's hospitality sector.
Their second collaborative study, 'Reframing Barriers: Entrepreneurial Experiences of Persons with Disabilities in Egypt,' examines how entrepreneurs with disabilities experience and make meaning of supports and barriers in their entrepreneurial journeys within Egypt's socio-cultural context. This qualitative research investigates how these entrepreneurs transform exclusion into entrepreneurial motivation and construct alternative definitions of success through sophisticated meaning-making processes.
Both studies address critical knowledge gaps in regional business research, providing nuanced insights into employment dynamics and entrepreneurial resilience in the Middle East and North Africa. The research offers valuable perspectives for hospitality management practices and inclusive entrepreneurship policies in emerging markets.
The ICSB World Congress serves as the primary international forum for small business and entrepreneurship research, connecting academics, industry practitioners, and policy makers worldwide. This platform enables researchers to share methodologies and contribute to global understanding of business dynamics.
