RIXARCH 2026: LIV-IN is an international conference on architecture and design organised by the Faculty of Architecture and Design at RISEBA University of Applied Sciences. The conference will take place in Riga, bringing together architects, urban designers, researchers, policymakers and students from across Europe and beyond. The theme LIV-IN focuses on contemporary modes of living and questions how architecture responds to social change, climate challenges, new housing typologies, co-living models and evolving urban lifestyles. RIXARCH positions architecture as an active framework for living together, addressing inclusivity, sustainability and spatial quality.
The programme includes keynote lectures by internationally recognised speakers, peer-reviewed paper sessions, panel discussions and public talks. RIXARCH is organised in an intersectoral partnership uniting academia, NGOs and professional practice, encouraging dialogue between research and real-world implementation.
The conference is open to professionals, academics and students interested in future-oriented architectural thinking and interdisciplinary exchange.
