Call for papers: Managing Innovations: Challenges and Opportunities in Different Sectors

In the era of transitioning into a digital and low resource footprint value creating paradigm, innovation becomes paramount. The way innovation will be managed, organised and executed as well as the objectives of innovation will change during this transition.

The two-day conference will provide insights into how both managers and academics see these changes. The conference will be a mixture of presentations by R&D managers on how they see the management of innovation, recognised academics on the latest insights around innovating during a paradigm shift, and researchers that present their research findings relating to this topic.

The conference is organized with the support of Kaliningrad Regional Entrepreneurship Support Centre, RABE (Russian Association of Business Education), RUSNANO Management Company, CEEMAN (International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies ), and Gdansk University.

The programme committee is chaired by Göran Roos, professor of the IEM of the IKBFU, Flinders University, University of Adelaide (South Australia), Tongji University, Shanghai.

The members of this committee are:

Alexey Ponomarev, Vice-President for Industrial Cooperation, Skoltech (Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology);

Dr Alexander Pogorletskiy, Professor of the Department of the World Economy, St. Petersburg State University;

Dr Sergey Myasoedov, Vice-Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Director of the Institute of Business Studies (IBS RANEPA), President of RABE;

Dmitry Krinitsky, Senior Managing Director for Regional Policy and Interaction with Government Authorities and the Federal Assembly of the RUSNANO Management Company;

Prof. Dr Hab. Mirosław Szreder, Dean of the Faculty of Management of Gdansk University;

Gulnara Kurenkeyeva, Dean Graduate School of Business  Almaty Management University;

Dr Allan O’Connor, the University of South Australia;

Prof. Dr. Alexey Serbulov, Department of Economics and Management, the IKBFU.

The official languages of the conference: Russian, English.

You are invited to attend and participate in this international conference, which offers numerous opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. It also provides an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful nature of the Baltic seaside and the culture of the Kaliningrad region.

All the discussions will be organized in three parallel sessions:

1) Taxation: A Barrier or Enabler to Innovation.
2) Enhancing the impact of business schools on SMEs, transforming them into the hidden champions of the 21st century.
3) Managing Innovations: Theory and Practice.

Please submit your abstracts till 15 March 2019 to info@bfu-in.org. Paper submission deadline: 15 April.
