If “the future of management within the context of the emerging information age must become a salient topic for research and scholarship” (McDonald, 2011, p. 806), then the same ought to be true for the future of management theory. Management research is meeting this challenge, first, by delivering a long list of increasingly present future topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, algorithmic finance, robotization, gig economy, ubiquitous organization, or environmental orientation. Second, the field is increasingly competent in using future technologies and seminal social innovations for trend-setting process and method developments in contexts as complex and diverse as big data foresight, multi-stakeholder collaboration, or future-oriented crowdsourcing. EUMMAS 2014 conference theme is Together Today Towards Better Tomorrow – what can we do to shape the future?

The United Nations Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative and Giving Voice To Values (GVV) are offering a $10,000 AWARD FOR AN OUTSTANDING GVV-STYLE CASE ON ANTI-CORRUPTION. The case competition will be managed by the North American Case Research Association (NACRA). Cases submitted for the award and judged acceptable will be presented at NACRA’s 2014 annual meeting in Austin, Texas, on October 23 – 25, 2014. The award will be given to the case submitted for review which is judged to be the most outstanding GVV-style case on anti-corruption. (See detailed information in attached PDF).

The Academy of Business and Retail Management (ABRM) announces a Call for Papers for the publication of a book entitled “Globalisation Revisited: A global phenomenon under the microscope” to be edited by professor P.R.Banerjee and Dr P.R.Datta.
