From October 26-28, the CSR Student Team together with the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM) at CBS International Business School connected business students with ‘game changers’ from various fields and industries to explore and discuss the future of business and management. In a variety of online guest lectures, discussion rounds and workshops, we looked at for example how to implement sustainable investment and rating practices in finance, how to implement change management to foster real corporate transformations or how to rethink and transform business models completely. Students had the chance to engage with professional representatives of GLS Bank, Keyplay Consulting, Sustainalytics, Insect Respect and the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. Further, students and lecturers were able to experience ‘The Future Game 2050’ as beta-testers of the soon to be released online tool of the game. Here, groups developed visions of 2050 based on future job descriptions such as e.g. AI trainer, insect farmer or space coach, in an interactive workshop format.
The Sustainability Days are a continuous format introducing students from all our various programs to topics and professional expertise in the areas of sustainable management and CSR. They are organized from our CSR Student Team in order to give students the chance to take leadership and gain valuable extracurricular experience. This semester they were embedded in our new ongoing lecture series “Food for Thought: Rethinking and Transforming our Tomorrow”.
