CEEMAN mourns the passing of Professor Andrzej Gospodarowicz, former Rector of the Wrocław University of Economics, a valued CEEMAN member institution. A distinguished economist, dedicated educator, and respected academic leader, Professor Gospodarowicz served his university and the broader academic community with excellence for nearly five decades.

From April 2nd to 4th, 2025, CEEMAN hosted the Program Management Seminar in the beautiful town of Bled, Slovenia. The event brought together 20 participants from 12 different countries, creating an inspiring and transformative environment to explore the evolving landscape of program management. Over the course of these three days, attendees engaged in practical knowledge-sharing, collaborative exchanges, and insightful discussions.

On March 3-4, CEEMAN and IEDC - Bled School of Management hosted the EQUATION project’s activities: Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) event and Dissemination Events. With 65 participants from 26 countries joining both in person and online, we explored how to advance gender equality in accreditation and quality assurance. The event brought together accreditation bodies, business school leaders, policy experts, and gender equality advocates.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lyubov Yakovleva, an active member of CEEMAN and a respected pioneer and leader in management education. Born on May 16, 1953, in Donetsk, and passing on February 6, 2025, in the Moscow Region, Lyubov’s influence in higher education spanned more than four decades and left a lasting legacy. Lyubov was among the first to establish undergraduate management programs in her region, helping shape the future of leadership education. After earning her degree in Economics from Donetsk State University in 1975, she obtained a PhD in Labor Studies in 1986 from Moscow Regional Pedagogical University. Her career led her to key roles, including Assistant Professor at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (1988–1993) and, later, Deputy Rector and then Rector of the Institute of International Business Education (1992–2013). Under her leadership, the institute became a recognized center of excellence in leadership and business studies.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our former CEEMAN Board member from Ukraine, Dr. Bohdan Budzan. Dr. Budzan was a visionary leader and a pioneer in management education, whose influence extended far beyond Ukraine. His passing leaves a significant void, both in the academic community and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of working with him.
