The 12th Responsible Management Education Research Conference, co-organized by the PRME Anti-Poverty Working Group and the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON), University of Belgrade, will take place from October 21-23, 2025. As the host institution, FON will welcome management researchers, educators, business leaders, policymakers, youth, and other stakeholders to discuss responsible management education, focusing on global challenges through innovative and sustainable practices.
The conference theme, Rethinking Growth and Exploring New Possibilities for a Regenerative World, highlights unexplored areas in management research and education that reconnect purpose to responsible business and leadership. While the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been a global benchmark since 2015, the concept of regeneration is emerging as a more holistic approach to sustainable development. Regeneration emphasizes that humans are an integral part of the ecosystem, fostering systems that renew and strengthen over time. Leading companies such as Unilever, Danone, Nestlé, Mars, and Interface are adopting regenerative business models that prioritize planetary health and societal well-being. This shift calls for a re-examination of business purpose, leadership skills, and responsible management education, which will be central topics at the conference.
The conference program will include parallel sessions featuring research contributions (papers, abstracts, extended abstracts, and works in progress), plenary sessions with keynote speakers and panel discussions, as well as workshops, roundtables, and networking events.
FON, founded in 1969, is a leading educational and research institution in Serbia, specializing in management, organization, and information systems and technologies. Inspired by MIT’s Sloan School of Management, FON serves over 7,000 students and provides state-of-the-art facilities, including amphitheaters, computer labs, and a student entrepreneurship hub. A member of the UN Global Compact Local Network Serbia, FON actively promotes sustainable development and international collaboration.
Located in Belgrade, FON offers an ideal setting for this global conference, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among responsible management educators, researchers, and industry leaders.
