14th CEEMAN International Management Teachers Academy (IMTA) successfully accomplished

Bled, 17 June 5, 2013 - 14th edition of the International Management Teachers Academy (IMTA) organized by CEEMAN, successfully accomplished at IEDC-Bled School of Management. This year, 28 participants from 17 countries came to Bled to attend this major European faculty development program, which attracts participants from all over the world.

On 2-14 June 2013, 28 participants from 17 countries (Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and UK) were learning on how to improve their competences and skill related to general, as well as discipline-specific, aspects of management education in the areas of: Strategic Management, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Leadership and Change Management, and Business in Society. Participants also received inputs related to other roles that management educators play: research, consultancy and institution building and administration.

The program faculty included internationally renowned professors from the best business schools around the world: Prof. James C. Ellert, Academic Director IMTA, IMD, Switzerland and IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, Prof. Joe Pons, President of AXIOMA Marketing Consultants, Spain, Prof. J.B. Kassarjian, IMD, Switzerland and Babson College, USA, Prof. Krzysztof Obloj, School of Management at Warsaw University, and Kozminski University, Poland, Prof. Tony Buono, Bentley University, USA, and Prof. Arshad Ahmad, Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.

The International Management Teachers Academy is a major European faculty development program aimed at developing a new generation of management educators for a new generation of effective and responsible business leaders. “We are glad that Business in Society has been introduced as a new disciplinary track in the year when CEEMAN hosts the 2013 PRME Summit - the 5th Annual Assembly of the global movement for responsible management education that, under the auspices of the United Nations Global Compact, gathers 500 schools from 80 countries worldwide”, says Milenko Gudić, IMTA Managing Director. With this cohort IMTA has educated 476 management faculty from 142 schools and universities in 38 countries from all over the world.. The powerful network facilitates mutual communication and cooperation among IMTA alumni and their institutions, while also serves as a platform through which CEEMAN continues providing support to IMTA alumni in their personal, professional and institutional development.
