2021 World Creativity and Innovation Day in Ukraine - by KROK Business School

One of the main tasks of KROK Business School is the development and popularization of creative and innovative thinking of entrepreneurs. For the second year in a row, KROK Business School organized the World Creativity and Innovation Week in Ukraine – the Global UN Initiative that united 93 countries. In 2021, despite the quarantine, we talked about innovation and creativity in business and BSK hosted more than 150 participants in both formats – offline and online.

On April 16, we held Sustainability & Innovation Day, where we met with the creators of environmental and innovative businesses in Ukraine aimed at achieving sustainable development goals. Maya Proskurnya (Kajka), Evgeny Eric (Solar Gaps), Maria Sorokina (Re-beau), Evgeny Vasilenko (Pure Purr), and Olesya Vershigora (OZERO) shared their thoughts on why it is important today to demonstrate social responsibility when creating a business idea and create useful businesses for people. Moderator was Dr. Oksana Sedashova, International Creativity Ambassador in Ukraine.

In the evening of the same day, Anastasia Spitsyna held a webinar "Creative Time Management", where she told how a creative person could effectively manage their time, and the philosophy of time and creativity.

On April 17, we held StartUp & Innovation Day, where the moderator of the event Peter Savich found out what to do if you have an idea, who to tell about it, and where to find partners, investors or financing. Answers to questions related to the launch of business ideas, we received from the mouths of ideological inspirers and organizers of creative communities, business accelerators and crowdfunding platforms - Alexa Aishpur (RazomGo), Sergey Dolgopololy (FeelGoodLabs Business Accelerator), Andrіy Zaikin (YEP Incubators), and Vlad Kotov (ROBO HOUSE).

On April 18, Nadezhda Karplyuk spoke about creative ideas for women's entrepreneurship at the Creative Women webinar.

On May 18 we held BSK Innovation Day with participation of  Anton Melnyk  (Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine), Lidiya Pashchuk (K.Fund), Sergiy Koval  (Head of a digital transformation of a bank), and Olga Karpova, CEO of KROK Business School as a moderator. We discussed:

  • What is the best way of Ukraine to develop innovations?
  • Why innovations are necessary, for whom, how to facilitate the process for them to appear?
  • What kind of innovations is already in Ukraine and in what countries are there?

So, to summarize, we had:

  • 5 events - offline and online
  • 20 speakers
  • 150 participants
  • 10 hours of useful content that inspires innovation, teaches to think creatively and be bold to start own unique businesses aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals!
