The Fulbright Schuman program offers scholarships for doctoral students and researchers to carry out their research projects on the policies and areas of activity of the European Union in all scientific disciplines or relations between the US and the European Union. The scholarship is funded by the US Department of State and the European Commission. As part of the Fulbright Schuman Program, 10 to 15 scholarships are awarded annually to candidates from all EU Member States.
As part of the received scholarship, Paweł Brusiło aims to evaluate the policies and strategies for the energy transition in California in the context of activities for the popularisation of hydrogen technologies and fuel cells in the energy and transport sector. The awarded research concept is in line with the assumptions of the European Union in achieving climate neutrality by 2050, through increased usage of these technologies in energy production and storage, as well as by the greater use of fuel cell vehicles. Mr. Paweł Brusiło will conduct his research activities at the University of California in San Diego between August 2022 and January 2023.
Paweł Brusiło, a doctoral student at the Doctoral School at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, has been carrying out research in the field of evaluation of policies and strategies for energy transition since 2019 under the supervision of prof. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska. From 2022, he is also a research and teaching assistant employed at the Department of International Business as part of the Young Researchers competition. Simultaneously, he is deepening his knowledge as a postgraduate student of Data Science at the University of Warsaw. In 2021, he participated in the TopMinds academic mentoring program co-organized by the Fulbright Commission and the Top500 Innovators Association.
