On December 12, the Atrium of AlmaU University dazzled with bright lights and an exciting atmosphere, bringing together the most distinguished faculty, students, alumni, and honored guests to celebrate its 35th birthday.

The grand opening of the event began with a congratulatory speech from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.

He emphasized that AlmaU is one of the first universities focusing on business education and highlighted the significant contribution of the academic and teaching staff to the university's success. "AlmaU began its history in 1988 and has since become a symbol of progress and innovation in education. This journey has been filled with challenges and scientific discoveries, and the success of AlmaU is the result of the outstanding professionalism of its staff," noted the minister. Expressing gratitude to the university for its contribution to the training of qualified specialists, Sayasat Nurbek emphasized AlmaU's role in the country's economic development and support for domestic science.

In his memorable speech, President Asylbek Kozhakhmetov shared not only the history of AlmaU but also interesting aspects of his childhood, the establishment of the university, and its mission in society. He highlighted AlmaU as an educational institution that has developed innovative programs such as MBA and DBA. He went into detail about the revival of the "Zeynep" college, which has now become the embodiment of the rural education model. December 12, in addition to its significance for AlmaU, turned out to be a special day – the birthday of Asylbek Kozhakhmetov's mother. This fact added even more emotional depth and importance to the date.
