CEEMAN is proud to announce the winners of the 2024 CEEMAN Champions Awards, a prestigious recognition launched in 2010 to celebrate outstanding achievements in management education and research among its member institutions. This year’s awards cycle saw 16 submissions from 6 institutions across 4 countries, showcasing the depth and diversity of talent within the CEEMAN network.
CEEMAN Teacher of the Year: Prof. Dr. Claudia Mössenlechner, MCI, Austria

Prof. Dr. Claudia Mössenlechner has been honored as the CEEMAN Teacher of the Year for her remarkable contributions to higher education at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® in Austria. As the head of the Learning Solutions Center and deputy head of the MCI Academic Council, Dr. Mössenlechner has over 25 years of experience in teaching leadership, self-leadership, and communication. Her pioneering work in integrating educational technology into traditional and online learning environments has significantly influenced the modern educational landscape.

CEEMAN Researcher of the Year: Prof. Dr. hab. Łukasz Sułkowski, WSB University, Poland

Prof. Dr. hab. Łukasz Sułkowski, a leading scholar in management research, has been awarded the CEEMAN Researcher of the Year. Serving as both professor and president at WSB University in Poland, Dr. Sułkowski has an extensive academic portfolio with over 400 publications. His research spans university management, human resource management, and digital transformation in higher education, making profound impacts on the understanding of management practices in both academic and business communities.

CEEMAN Responsible Management Educator of the Year: Mr. Nurken Aubakir, Almaty Management University (AlmaU), Kazakhstan

Nurken Aubakir has been recognized as the CEEMAN Responsible Management Educator of the Year for his significant contributions to education and management. As the Dean of the School of Transformative Humanities at Almaty Management University and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Mr. Aubakir’s work in reforming and transforming educational programs lead to several successful projects at his university and beyond. From UNDP project for women to a brand-new GenEd program at AlmaU, his leadership and dedication to responsible management education have made a lasting impact in Central Asia’s academic landscape.

CEEMAN Leader of the Year: Prof. Dr. hab. Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna, WSB University, Poland

Prof. Dr. hab. Katarzyna Szczepańska-Woszczyna has been named the CEEMAN Leader of the Year for her exemplary leadership in management education. At WSB University in Poland, she has played pivotal roles since 1997, including serving as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Vice Rector for Science and Education. Her leadership has been instrumental in steering the university towards internationalization and academic excellence, supported by over 30 international research projects and more than 150 publications.

CEEMAN Recognition Letter from CEEMAN President: Jexen Kurmanbek, JV Team, Kazakhstan

Jexen Kurmanbek, a seasoned business coach and consultant, has received a special Recognition Letter from the CEEMAN President for his outstanding career in both public and private sectors in Kazakhstan. With a background that includes senior roles at Kazakhtelecom, Samruk-Kazyna, and the founding of the "JV Team" business accelerator, Kurmanbek’s contributions to business process management and strategic leadership have been instrumental in fostering innovation and education in Kazakhstan.
