Dr. Zoltan Buzady, Associate Professor of Management CEU Business School (IMTA 2015, CEEMAN-Emerald Case Competition Winner 2012 & 2014) informs all CEEMAN network members about his new study which focuses on the current status of cross-cultural differences and effects on national competitiveness in the CEE region,

The TARGET-CEU Expat Study 2015 was initiated and sponsored by TARGET, a leading CEE headhunting firm, and the data was collected by GfK, a global market research institute. It presents  how over 1100 senior expatriate managers view current local management culture and practices in 6 CEE countries : Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

Based on expats' views: Which country is best for team work? Where does local management deal best with unexpected situations? Where is local management the most organized and efficient? Is use of humor more important in Hungary than in Poland? Are Romanians better in interpersonal skills than Bulgarians? Do managers in Slovakia or the Czech Republic understand better their competitive markets? In which country do we find the most hard-working local managers and where do language problems still cause barriers to business?

The new study now also draws comparisons and analyzes the changes since the 2009 Study.
