As part of the campaign, information flyers were made and placed in various spaces of Caucasus University. Students viewed the flyers and received information on plagiarism and plagiarism issues in general.
Mr. Giga Khositashvili, Deputy Director of the Ilia State University Library, held a workshop on the Prevention of Plagiarism Day at the CU Campus, on the topic – “Why Academic Integrity Matters?” The speaker discussed issues such as: prevention of plagiarism, plagiarism and sanctions, academic writing course and its importance. Students and representatives of Caucasus University attended the workshop. In connection to this day, pins were made to respond to the subject of plagiarism. During the event, students viewed the quotes in the library and corridors and expressed their opinions on plagiarism on the easels.
In addition, before the workshop, a teaser campaign was launched on social media, where the students of Caucasus University actively participated. They expressed their views on plagiarism. With the help of the campaign, a social survey was conducted to see if students were aware of plagiarism.
Also, within the framework of the project, students of Caucasus University participated in the competition of student posters about plagiarism. They made thematic posters which later made it to the semifinals. Their posters, along with the winning posters, were placed in the CU Campus Library as part of the workshop.
As part of the campaign, a video was made. Students of Caucasus University took part in its creation. They shared their views on plagiarism, their experiences, and identified the benefits of saying no to plagiarism.
